Apps of the future
As we continue to venture deeper into this future of technological wizardry and wonderment, we thought it might be a good time to stop and evaluate the directions app trends are going.
Possibly the most popular of the app based tools on offer, there are now a whole host of companies offering private messaging, instant image sharing, private video uploads and more.
Private messaging isn’t a set practice or routine, it is simply a personal preference, with some tending to lean more toward sharing imagery over words and others simply looking for a fast and versatile way to share more than just messages.
There will always be a market for the next best messaging app and we’ve seen more appear over the past year that really have taken things forward. The team at The Guardian did a really nice round up their favourites.
Possibly the most popular feature of a phone these days for an ever growing demographic. Market research reveals that people are abandoning their digital cameras now that their mobile phones are equipped to take photos of equal (and sometimes better) quality.
In summary on the camera side of things, it’s fair to say that they are here to stay and forward thinking developers will bare this in mind when developing their next generation of apps. Though the app store is saturated with camera apps currently, there is always potential to for someone to do something innovative as mobile camera technology continues to progress.
Help, aid and support apps:
Whether it be an app for making donations to a worthy causes, a dyslexia tool for increasing ease of reading or even tools that enable sufferers of deafness to hear and hold group discussions! This is truly the future of accessibility for all and we support this endeavour whole-heartedly.
We’ve seen apps used to give those who don’t have the ability to speak or speak clearly a whole new voice. There are a host of apps available now for improving overall quality of communication for the impaired , and now we are starting to see the appearance of more and more ‘day to day’ life tools also.
This is an exciting time to be in app development and working in this field. Our industry is making huge strides forward and helping people from all walks of life improve the overall quality of their experience. We are extremely proud of our industry – all that’s been achieved and everything that is still to come.
